“The future of the world is in my classroom today.” ~ Ivan Welton Fitzwater
I know people wonder what teachers do with all the classroom supplies they ask for…so I decided to give you a sneak peek. Some of the stuff, like flair pens, just makes life fun, but other stuff seems ridiculous until it’s not…like why in the world would she need a yoga ball? And the carpet is probably just for her class to be “cute.” Small things make a big difference in classroom setup.
When I passed out the bracelets today to our superstars, you should have heard the whispers and QUESTIONS about what students needed to do to get superstar status. And maybe, just maybe, there’s a student out there still not in his/her home just like I am not…and they need a space that’s beautiful to enjoy even if only for an hour or so.
Can students learn without all the extra? Yep. Yes they can. But someone has to be extra…and if I’m going to wear tutus on Tuesdays, I may as well pay forward the extra in other ways to the future of the world.
Right now, I’m raising money for classroom cameras. For the next 4 days the site is matching donations with code “LIFTOFF.” Help me get materials my class needs to continue having engaging, hands-on math activities.
What are some things you do with your classroom to setup the future of the world for success? Side note: we do LOTS of math. Today we solved cubic polynomials using factoring by grouping in case you thought no math was happening 🤣🤣🤣

Those bracelets are a really cool idea. I can see how that would make a student feel super special.
