How to Capture the Perfect Disney World Photos

Walt Disney World is known for being the most magical place on Earth. People travel from all over the world to experience all of the magical moments. As one of those people, I always want to relish those moments forever. What better way to do that than through beautiful photos?

Yet, capturing beautiful photos is many times easier said that done so here are some tips and tricks to help you capture great Disney World Photos during your stay.

1. Purchase the Disney Memory Maker which includes the Disney PhotoPass service

(not sponsored – just handing out great advice).

A one day pass is currently $69, and it is available for $169 to capture your entire trip. You must purchase at least 3 days in advance to get the $169 rate, or it goes up to $199. No matter which price you choose, the Memory Maker allows you to capture any photos anywhere throughout the park with unlimited access and downloads for 30 days. You can get family photos, ride photos, and type of photos taken by Disney professional photographers.

2. Google Disney Photo Spots

We all know Cinderella’s castle in Magic Kingdom, the Epcot ball in Epcot, and the Tree of Life in the Animal Kingdom, but so many bloggers can tell you about hidden gems, when to go, where to go, and how to accessorize to get some beautiful photos you never would have gotten otherwise.

This Disney World photo was taken at Magic Kingdom on Main Street in the evening. I never would have thought to ask to use the balloons as a photo prop had I not seen the idea from a blogger on Google.

This checkers wall is located on the way OUT of the Toy Story Mania ride in Hollywood Studios. I would not have found this gem without the World Wide Web at my fingertips.

3. Head to Pinterest and search “Disney World Photo spots”

You do this for the same reason you Google the photo spots, but since Pinterest displays graphics, you can see what you like before actually opening up the up the links to the articles. You can also pin the Disney World photos and poses you love for easy reference.

For example, photos on the back of Rapuzel’s castle in Magic Kingdom at night eliminate crowds and are just as beautiful as Cinderella’s castle. This idea came from my Pinterest search.

4. Be extra

You want your photos to capture the real you. Give kisses. Jump around. Laugh. All. The. Things.

My son’s smile has never been more genuine than when his two sisters were giving him kisses on each cheek.

Kisses work for grown ups too.

My dad realized the value of the Disney PhotoPass and took full advantage of all photo ops.

Dance in the streets.

Tickles always get smiles.

And never forget the off guard moments of a boy and his new friend Grut.

Or a brother picking up his sister so she can see the show.

Or playing drums in Animal Kingdom.

Or climbing a tree

The true magic of Disney World photos is living the moments – planned and unplanned. Take a few photos here and there, but enjoy the experiences as they come.
