You are tired of the same old same old.
Your save. You pay your bills, and you still come up short.
You watch what you eat. You exercise, and the number on the scale does not change.
You prioritize. You schedule your days. You try to be present, and your days are still rushed with little to no time left over to live your best life.
You want change. You need change. You have done everything right, yet you see no change anywhere in sight. How can you change your life when your life insists on staying the same?
1. Start somewhere.
You do not have to have all your ducks in a row before you begin. Many people get stuck in the daydreaming and brainstorming phases. You need action. Planning is perfect, but the best plans are followed by action. Fear can stifle you. Feeling like you will not be successful can stifle you. Feeling like you are not enough can stifle you. Sometimes your best move is to do just that…move.
2. Consistency is key.
When you first start, things will be exciting. You will dot every “i” and cross every “t.” You will monitor your budget. You will count your calories. You will post your blog once a week. You will exercise daily. You will promote your product or your business. You will give your new workplace your best efforts, and then life will happen. You will have every reason in the world to stop. You will want to quit. “I’ll do that later,” will come out of your mouth more than you care to admit. The results you so badly need to see will not be staring you in the face. Keep going. Just because you cannot see the results does not mean you should stop. Your results are not a result of your beginning efforts when you are fresh, but instead of your consistency over time. Major change does not happen overnight. Even the “overnight success” stories you think that you see with others came as a result of hard work that paid off. Those people only made it look easy. You did not actually walk in on their beginnings but right in the middle of their consistency. It is small steps day after day that make the actual difference.
3. The miracle is in the middle.
How to change your life is in the middle. The real breakthroughs are dead smack in the center. Your life begins to change the moment you accept that this is permanent. This is what you have to do. This is what must be done, even before you see the outcome. Your miracle takes place BEFORE success sets in. Your miracle is the way you believe in yourself. It is your faith in you, that you can and will do this even before it is done. You change your life when you continue going after the picture looks different than what you expected.
4. Accept that failure WILL happen.
Failure WILL happen – not it may happen, not it could happen. It WILL happen. You will overspend. You will miss a day of exercise or a week of posting. You will inhale one too many calories. You will bring the brightest ideas and concepts to your classrooms, your workplaces and your business, and they will flop!! Your first instinct will be to go back to the way things were. You will want to give up. You will want to throw in the towel.
Accept your failure. Make adjustments, and then get up and do it again. Once you accept that failure is a natural part of the road to success, change comes. You change. Your situation changes, and then your outcomes change.

When you want things to be different, you must do things differently. You cannot accept what always was. You have to want better to be better. Change is NOT easy.
Your life transforms the moment you refuse to accept that what you see in front of you is the final answer. You vow to yourself and sometimes others that you want more than this, and you persevere until you see “it”…until you see more…until you see different.
In order to see the change, you must be the change.

You’re such a good writer!
Yes, consistency is so important, as well as getting up when we fall down. We tell our toddlers to get up when they fall down; we must do the same.
One of the biggest things that I’ve changed in my life over the years is to be more positive even when I feel negative.

I do too. I just have to take the bits and pieces I learned before, get up, and do it again.

Such a good word of encouragement! Loved this: “Just because you cannot see the results does not mean you should stop.” So much of the work happens underground before we see results blossom above the surface!
